Isaiah continues…

God has not abandoned Israel.  Even though the trauma of a seemingly endless cycle of war and siege has beaten them down there is a set of hands that Israel just won’t fall through.

God calls Israel a worm.  And even worse a maggot!  Maybe that’s how they felt.  If any nation has experienced PTSD it would be these Israelites.  But God has their backs.  His strength is inexhaustible.

Wherever I am, in mind or body or spirit, those hands are always beneath me.  That is the promise.

The Lord will answer

…will not forsake

…will open

…will water

…will plant

…will set

“that all may see and know, observe and understand that the hand of the Lord has done this”
