Wednesday 28th Week of Ordinary Time
Jesus has already sermonized about the person's outside and inside being honest and integrated. He's throwing "woes" around right and left for showy tithes unmatched by lived justice and egos consumed with procuring seats of honor.
But it is Jesus' "you are like unseen graves over which people unknowingly walk" that causes me pause. I'm picturing that. It's what the Pharisees don't notice; the judgement they are unable to fathom. It sounds like the things I am so sure of might be where I'm missing the point completely.
Who is walking right over me? With judgment? That I don't even notice???
